Description

Made with real Eel skulls, cheese wax, and acrylic.
One I can finally call a masterpiece, I spent the last 4 months working on this. (Updated, more contrast..)

Except from the fact that the signature is almost the same is what I use, this piece indeed qualifies as masterpiece. I like the fact that the artist used real skulls, because I love the fact that something is "hidden" within the sculpture. I love the colors, the stark white with the black and grey accents.
The artist said he worked four months on this, and you can see this in this work. Not that it's too labored, but that someone spend a lot of thought and work into this. Thinking about composition and detailing. I love the use of unconventional materials and I really think the hard work of the artist payed off extremely well.
Small point of "critique" or what I would have liked to see different is the space between the tails and the frame. I would have made it slightly a bigger space so that it is framed better. But this is personal. Also I would have tried to edit the picture taken of the sculpture a bit more, so the contrast and shadows pop up a bit more. That's why I gave 4/5 for impact.
